People of Burundian origin living in Regina and its surrounding areas:

  • Being aware of the growing number of people of Burundian origin living in Regina, Saskatchewan and its surrounding areas;
  • Convinced that language, unity, fraternity, culture, social mutual assistance and Ubuntu are Burundian values ​​to be safeguarded;
  • Considering the importance of organizing and working together for socio-cultural development;

They met in Regina for a constitutive general assembly to create an association.

the association was incorporated into the “Information services corporation” as a for-profit organization under the name “Burundian Communiry of Regina – BCRInc. »

The organization is based on three main pillars:

Language, culture and social support.

Since its creation, the organization has contributed to the development of its members, to the sharing and promotion of Burundian culture in Saskatchewan. Several events are organized by BCRInc each year including: New Year Celebration, Burundi Independence Celebration which coincides with Canada Day (July 1), summer BBQ, etc.

B.C.R. Inc ensures the visibility and representation of the Burundian community of Regina and its surrounding areas to public institutions, other community organizations as well as partners and donors.
